In recent times Ffair Gurig has been celebrated with a week long range of local activities within the town of Newport. It forms a significant part of the town's heritage and tradition. Activities can vary from year to year but in recent years the main features are a street market, a quiz night, the annual Ysgol Bro Ingli Sports Day, a historical guided walk, a treasure hunt and community hymn singing.
