Events down at the Parrog in and around the Marquee
General information
The Festival Information and Registration Desk will be open from 7.30am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday and from 9am to 5pm on Monday. The Festival Café serving hot and cold refreshments will be open from 10am to 5pm from Saturday to Monday. Toilets, including those with disabled access, are available at the Parrog throughout the event and there is limited car parking at the Parrog car park.
Activities
From 10am to 5pm from Saturday to Monday there will be fun activities for all the family, including: •Side shows •Head through the hole •Stalls •Bouncy castle •Face painting •Coastguard display surf life saving demonstration •Ice cream

Saturday 1st May
11 - 11.45am The Pink Lady - stilt walker in Market Street.
12noon - 1.30pm Puppet making workshop and puppet show Join local puppeteer, Anna Clark, to make your own puppet and take part in a puppet show. The workshops will be open to all ages but will have a particular focus on involving children.
1pm - 3pm Maypole Dancing and workshop with Rufus and the Rasilila music group There will be a demonstration dance at 1.30pm followed at 2pm by a chance for all the family to join in.
12noon - 5pm Beach art: found objects workshop Join local artist, Tacy Collingridge, to create sculptures and mobiles from driftwood and other found objects on the beach. The workshops will be open to all ages but will have a particular focus on involving children.
12noon - onwards Wicker workshop making a large willow sculpture with a seaside theme.

Sunday 2nd May
11.30am - 12.15pm Carmarthen Wind Band performance.
12noon onwards Wicker workshop making a large willow sculpture with a seaside theme.
1.30pm - 2.15pm Carmarthen Wind Band performance.
3.30pm - 4.15pm Carmarthen Wind Band performance.
Monday 3rd May
10am Nordic Walking Workshop
Local walker, Andrew Dugmore, takes a workshop introducing the techniques of Nordic Walking, a popular form of fitness walking using poles similar to ski poles.
12noon - 5pm Mask making workshop Join local puppeteer and mask maker, Anna Clark, to make your own mask and take part in a masked parade to close the Festival. The workshops will be open to all ages but will have a particular focus on involving children.
12 noon - onwards Wicker workshop making a large willow sculpture with a seaside theme.
4.30pm Duck Race Take part in the famous Duck Race, finishing in front of the Boat Club. Ducks can be purchased from a number of shops in Newport, at the Boat Club, or at the Information and Registration Desk at the Festival Marquee during the Festival.
5pm (approx) Raffle Draw The Festival Raffle will be drawn after the Duck Race in the Marquee - TBC
