The Newport Memorial Hall is one of the largest community halls in Pembrokeshire. Opened in 1922 it was built as a memorial to the men of Newport who lost their lives in The Great War. Since then it has been at the centre of community life in Newport.

The Memorial Hall is a registered charity run by a management committee of local volunteers.
The facilities include a large assembly hall (with proscenium stage) licensed for gatherings of up to 300 people, a meeting / dining room for approx 40 people, large well equipped kitchen and 2 further small meeting rooms one of which is used by the Newport branch of The British Legion.

A pleasant garden behind the building is ideal for summer festivals, parties, etc.

Regular activities include:
- Indoor bowls club
- Yoga classes
- Tai Chi
- African dancing
- Ballroom Dancing

- Pilates
- Youth club
- Badminton
- Senior citizens lunch club
- Junior art class

Our Hall is also the venue for: Nights Out - Vibrant evenings range from accomplished musicians from around the world to circle dancing and local bands often with a café serving delicious food.
Fairs and Festivals - One day fairs with stalls, food and activities; markets; and 3 to 6 day festivals.
Meetings, Conferences and Auctions - Organisations and local authorities use the meeting rooms and the hall for private and public events.
Disabled People Events - Suitable for fun days out with a ramp to the sensory garden and lawn. Activities, entertainment and catering can be organised for specific group requirements.

An interesting historical fact is that when the foundations for the Hall were dug in 1921 two medieval pottery kilns were uncovered. A variety of pieces of pottery were found which dated the kilns to the fifteenth century. One of the kilns is preserved beneath the stage of the Hall and is probably the only medieval Welsh kiln surviving.
